The most powerful group of people in your organization is the board. Our experience is that when the chair of the board (Chief Governance Officer or CGO) and the CEO can forge a productive and respectful relationship, the whole organization benefits. Each has a vital role to play. The trick is for both of these personalities to learn to dance so that each may act powerfully and effectively without stepping on each other’s feet.
